
About Anne Groves
Anne is an independent provider of communications training and advice on career development, including building professional networks and establishing personal brand.
Anne has a substantial career track record in communications: 30 years in corporate communications in publishing, financial services and professional service firms, which included periods at The Guardian, Aviva, Andersen and Clifford Chance (as global head of PR).
Anne now offers training and advice to individuals and organisations as an independent consultant.
This offer takes two forms:
- Career advice to individuals and groups at different stages of their careers, with a focus on building a personal professional brand and developing an effective network. Anne is often called upon as a ‘Sounding Board’ for executives at key points in their career.
- Training on communications issues for PR teams in-house or in agency.
Anne has worked with communications executive search firm Taylor Bennett as a consultant and was also director of the Taylor Bennett Foundation, a charity providing training to ethnically diverse graduates to prepare them for careers in PR.
Anne is currently Adjunct Assistant Professor at Richmond, the American International University in London, where she teaches PR Practice on BA and MA courses.
Anne is a non-executive director of Infinite Global communications consultancy and an advisory board member of senior executive women’s organisation The Quorum Initiative. She is an Ambassador for the Taylor Bennett Foundation and has served on the boards of Oily Cart theatre company and the Dance Umbrella Festival. She is a volunteer for talent development charity Tennis First.
Anne is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
